Frequently asked questions

Questions about pricing and process

Do I pay anything monthly?

No. You pay once for equipment and installation. No required subscription for storage, management or support.

What if something breaks?

The equipment carries manufacturer warranty. Extra support can be booked per job, never required through an annual contract.

What happens if a camera fails or becomes defective?

A failed camera has no impact on the rest of the system. Your data remains safely stored, and all other cameras continue to function.

Can I expand later?

Yes. Thanks to the open ecosystem of the equipment we use, you can add cameras or equipment later without replacing everything.

Do you work exclusively with Ubiquiti?

Almost always. We've specialized in UniFi Protect and UniFi Network, because this ecosystem is the best fit with local storage, full ownership and no forced subscriptions.

Can I hand management over later?

Yes. You hold the full admin account, so you can transfer it yourself at any point.

Am I allowed to just put up cameras? (Dutch privacy law)

As a homeowner you may film your own property; footage may be kept for a maximum of four weeks and you must post a sign at the entrance. Businesses also fall under the GDPR/AVG and need to be able to justify camera surveillance. We advise on this, but it remains the owner’s own responsibility.

What happens during a power outage?

With a battery backup on the switch or console, cameras and network keep running during an outage and shut down cleanly instead of dropping abruptly. This is discussed per situation, not a standard inclusion.
